Beginner Workshops

19/11/22 - Square-root decomposition workshop

We held a talk on square-root decomposition, which is an interesting and very general technique used in competitive programming.

22/10/22 - Huawei Sponsor Event

This Saturday we held a lecture given by Errichto, as a sponsor event from Huawei.

The talk was about non-trivial use of graph algorithms (like BFS, Dijkstra), including plenty of creative applications of these common algorithms.

Sadly, no public copy of the lecture is available.

08/10/22 - Intro to CP

We ran our first in-person event for the year, attended by about 50 people, most of whom were beginners to competitive programming. The event consisted of a workshop (including a presentation on CP basics by committee members, and some time for participants to try out some example problems), followed by a 2 hour contest to practise the skills learnt.
